Acai Jelly was bred by famed Cali breeder Sherbinskis and Silent Seeds working together. Sherbinskis is the developer of the cannabis legends Gelato and Sunset Sherbet, famous throughout California and far beyond. Acai Jelly is the product of crossing Bacio Gelato with Acai Berry Gelato. These are vigorous, high-yielding plants with great flavours and very high levels of THC.
Acai Jelly requires only a basic knowledge of growing techniques and is suitable for those growers who are able to defoliate plants as well as using techniques such as FIMming, LST, Supercropping, Lollypopping etc. for the best results. Growers are also recommended to limit the period of vegetative growth indoors to three weeks or less. Nutrient requirements are only moderate so do not overfeed these plants.
Indoor growers can expect yields of 550 - 620 gr/m2 in a flowering time of between 58 - 63 days. Plants don't grow tall but the moderate internodal spacing guarantees a good yield. Outdoors, plants can grow very large, between 230 - 250 cm, with matching yields, between 1450 - 1550 gr. per plant. Northern hemisphere harvests outdoors are ready at the end of September, beginning of October. Resin production is very high having the potential for making some sweet extracts. Plants display some very nice colours as soon as temperatures drop by a few degrees.
The prevalent scents and flavours are fruity, sweet with earthy Kush notes. The sweet, dessert notes of Gelato are especially tempting. THC levels are between 27 - 28% with less than 0.2% CBD. The effect is uplifting and happy with a perfect blend of cerebral stimulation and physical relaxation as befits a pedigree hybrid strain.
