The EZ Test CBD/THC Hemp Typification Drug Testing Kit is designed to show whether a sample is CBD-dominant hemp or THC-dominant cannabis. This makes it particularly useful where industrial hemp is being sold to smoke and there is a need to verify whether the material is primarily CBD or true cannabis containing THC. Rather than testing for a broad range of substances, this kit is focused specifically on identifying the dominant cannabinoid profile of the sample.

The test works by producing a clear colour reaction in the ampoule once the sample is added. A pink or purple result indicates that the sample contains mostly CBD, while a blue result shows that THC is the dominant cannabinoid. This gives a quick visual indication of the type of material being tested and makes the result easy to compare against the included colour chart.

The kit is also relevant in cases where the authenticity of a hemp or cannabis sample is in question, particularly if lower-cost industrial hemp is being presented as high-THC cannabis. Where there is concern that a sample may have been tampered with synthetic cannabinoids, it is recommended that this test is used alongside a dedicated Synthetic Cannabinoid Test.
