GERMINATION
Legal Disclaimer:
USA: If you are located in a state where cultivation is legal, please follow the recommended germination method below.
UK, EU & South Africa: Please ensure you are in a country or region where cultivation is legal before proceeding. We recommend the following germination method.
Recommended Germination Method:
Step 1:
Soak the seeds in a cup of water for 6–12 hours in a dark place. Keep the water temperature between 20°C and 25°C (68 °F - 77 °F)
Step 2:
Remove the seeds and place them about 2 cm apart on a hard plate, between two lightly damp paper towels. Cover with another hard plate to create a dome. Keep in a warm, dark place and ensure the towels stay moist.
Step 3:
Seeds usually germinate within 2–3 days but may take up to a week. Be patient. Once the taproot appears, the seed is ready to plant.
Step 4:
Carefully transfer the seed using tweezers. If planting in soil, place the seed gently 0.5 to 1 cm (about 0.2 to 0.4 inches) deep with the taproot facing down. Keep the medium moist. A seedling should emerge within 2–5 days.
Important Notes:
Do not plant seeds directly into soil or ground for germination. Seeds need oxygen to germinate properly; planting directly can cause rot and void germination coverage. Germination failures outside this recommended method are not covered by our policy.
