Afghan Haze is the result of fertilising an Afghan female with pollen from a Haze plant. It is a unique blend of two strains from opposite ends of the cannabis spectrum. With careful pheno-typical selection this is a fantastic therapeutic strain for medical provision.
Afghan Haze was originally conceived by Neville Schoenmakers at The Seedbank in Holland in the early 1990s. Due to the Haze influence it is not recommended as a strain with which to start your growing career; rather it requires some know-how on the part of the cultivator and especially in the realm of selecting the best mother plants for the grower's needs.
It is not the heaviest-yielding plant and neither is it the quickest to flower but it does have quality on its side. Indoors growers will harvest 350 - 450 gr/m2 in 10 weeks of flowering. Outdoors cultivators will be able to crop about 350 - 450 gr/plant with harvest time occurring in mid-October in northern latitudes. This harvest time would rule out those regions/areas where rain and humidity could be a problem at this time of year - it is better cultivated outdoors in Mediterranean climates. The effects of poorer weather can be obviated to an extent with greenhouse cultivation.
Afghan Haze is highly recommended for medicinal usage especially for pain relief.
