Tropical Tangie is a sativa-dominant hybrid that was bred by crossing select Tangie plants to produce what is a highly vigorous, colourful, easy to grow strain with a potent and long-lasting balanced effect.
Tropical Tangie plants grow to a height of 75 - 125 cm. having a strong main stem with long side-branches. Although structurally strong, plants bear thin, sativa-style leaves that give a big clue regarding its genetic heritage. Left to grow naturally its Christmas tree structure is clear while plants also adapt well to both LST and HST (high stress training) as well as topping and FIMming. Both SoG and SCRoG techniques are also productive. Growers are advised to defoliate several times in order to aid air circulation and light penetration into the plants' interior.
Towards the end of the 8 - 9 week flowering period buds display some attractive colours including orange, red and purple shades. Indoors, yields are between 450 - 550 gr/m2. Buds are elongated and rather slender but, unlike many sativa-dominant strains, the buds are hard with good density. Trichome coverage is very good with plenty of sticky resin.
Both scent and flavour are strongly reminiscent of citrus, orange, mandarin and lemon, with diesel and chemical notes. THC levels are said to be very high and the effect is balanced and long-lasting featuring an energising sense of euphoria while also being physically relaxing.
