The MCPP EZ Test Kit is designed to detect MCPP (meta-ChloroPhenylPiperazine) and other related piperazines, including TFMPP (3-Trifluoromethylphenylpiperazine). It is intended for identifying compounds often found in herbal highs and research chemicals, and is particularly relevant where piperazines may be misrepresented or sold as ecstasy.
The test works by producing a colour change when a sample is introduced to the reagent in the ampoule. That reaction is then compared against the included chart to help identify the substance in question and distinguish piperazines from other drugs such as ecstasy or MDMA. A key feature of this kit is that it can indicate substances that may not be detected by more common reagent tests such as Marquis or Mandelin.
The kit also includes an indicator for 6-APB (Benzo Fury), although the sample used for this indicator has not been fully verified by laboratory testing, as noted on the colour chart. This makes the MCPP EZ Test Kit a more specialised option within the EZ Test range for checking piperazines and related compounds where broader tests may not give a clear result.
