A fascinating hybrid, Melon Maki marries Watermelon Gelato with Blue Zushi to offer a strain that's both flavorful and visually appealing. This feminized version boasts a medium stretch and 8-9 week flowering time, yielding dense buds rich in trichomes. The buds are a deep forest green with lavender highlights and cobalt undertones, adorned with bright orange pistils and a shiny resin layer - a testament to its Gelato and Zushi lineage. Melon Maki's terpene profile is complex, with refreshing watermelon, overripe berries, creamy gelato, vanilla, and citrus zest dominating. Underneath the sweetness is the Z-funk, a mix of sour gas, earthy spice, and a strong backend aroma that balances the sweet, candy-like flavors with diesel intensity. The effects of this powerful strain are balanced, inducing a euphoric, clear-headed high that can lift mood and spur creativity. It then transitions to a calming body buzz, ideal for afternoons, evenings, social gatherings, and creative endeavors. With higher doses, a more sedative, introspective side emerges courtesy of the Zushi influence.
